An Irish-made comedy that was really quite enjoyable. Not as fast-paced as some of the other comedies released around the same time and the titles were somewhat bold – but an all-round laugh for a film. I would put it in the same league as Waking Ned from all those years ago (which I felt was a genius film).

This film took me a while to get accustomed to the thick Irish accent throughout the film, but had some brilliant one-liners as well as some well-thought out scenes.

Depicting the tail of an Irish guard who is somewhat complacent with the work that he does (but still gets the job done) is suddenly thrust into the middle of a 2 billion dollar drug smuggling operation (depending on which street you buy your drugs from).

It’s not going to be a classic, but it is worth a watch for a chuckle.

Great perfomances from Brendan Gleeson and Don Cheadle. Three out of five. ☆
