The Waiting Game!

Anyone who’s had a baby will know that the guidelines surrounding actual labor are vague at best. Mainly because every mum and baby are different. Without getting too graphic or giving away the fact that I know precious little about this process – rest assured that this week would be titled ‘The Waiting Game’ in our journals…

My wife went into pre-labor over the weekend or ‘latent phase’ for all you pros. This got us very excited. But instead of a fast process, it’s resulted in the slowest week ever. With every twitch, ache and pain leaving us on tender hooks in our guts and a shaky grip on a stop-watch in our sweaty palms.

Needless to say we’re still playing this game of ‘hospital chicken’ with our firstborn, And baby is currently beating us two to none. That said, at least we know she’s already a winner.
